The Care...

These days when it comes time to make the decision about what to do with Mom and Dad as they get older, the kids feel guilt in not being able to support them at their own homes and dread confining either or both to a “retirement home”. Mom and/or Dad, if they enter a CCRC, which requires a huge entrance fee ranging from typically $120k to well over $400k, feel guilty about spending the nest egg they had hoped to pass on to the kids since that money is forfeited upon death.
